Analysis Notes
Pretty fun session. Starting off with the errors, there's no blue colors in the target image and the scissor-lift imagery that was used to convey the concept of something being suspended up in the air wasn't an accurate depiction of the target image. Other than that, there's a lot to love in this session. "Looking up at a solid looming round shape with mixture of clay red rock colors" is pretty good. I love the word LOOMING. There was this dark feeling conveyed by so many visuals during this session. I was seeing mushroom clouds and Devil's Tower and just a ton of shadowy sensations so I'm glad that word came through. All the stone/rock imagery was fitting since in the books the eye of Sauron is at the top of the stone tower Barad-dur near the volcano of Mt Doom, or Orodruin. I also really like that the word "wispy" came through. Then look at that second sketch. It's not perfect, but it does the trick. The color on the main shape is correct although the blue color above is off. But the description "Wide round shape above a vertical column...like a mushroom shape only it feels huge like I'm looking up at it...also feels shadowy like it's blocking a lot of light." I love that last part. In the books the Eye of Sauron casts a shadow of fear that invades the mind and reveals one's thoughts and secrets. That concept of shadowy darkness blocking the light is super accurate to the nature of this target. The third sketch while also not perfect is pretty reminiscent of the horizontal line patterns on the spires on each side of the eye. And the last sketch "criss-crossing" is incorrect but "Angular supports that hold something up in the air" is great data. Loved this session. I wish the blue and the scissor-lift shape didn't get stuck in my mind, otherwise this would be closer to a 6 for me.
